Text editing on the canvas + side panel

Double-click any text on the canvas to edit inline. Drag to reposition. Full per-clip editor in the left Text panel.

Inline editing on the canvas

Double-click any text clip on the canvas preview to turn it into an editable field. Press Enter to save, Esc to cancel, or click away.

Click a text clip (without double-clicking) to select it. You'll see an indigo selection outline. Drag to reposition anywhere on the canvas.

The Text side panel

Selecting a text clip auto-opens the Text panel on the left and scrolls to that clip's editor. You get everything in one place:

  • Text content, font size, color
  • Start time, duration, and X/Y/W numeric coordinates
  • A 3×3 alignment grid that snaps to the canvas corners, edges, or center
  • Delete button

Captions got their own track

Auto-generated captions used to share the Text track with hand-added titles, which made the timeline confusing. Captions now live on a dedicated Captions track and render in blue; your manually added text stays on the yellow Text track. Bulk delete captions from the Text panel.
