1. Introduction

CueEditio ("we", "our", or "us") operates the CueEditio platform: an online video editor and an Instagram & Facebook comment and Auto DM tool, which you can also use from ChatGPT and other AI assistants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
  • Content: Videos, images, audio files, and other media you upload or create using our editor. Your content is stored temporarily for editing purposes and is not shared with third parties.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service, including features used, session duration, and device information.
  • Google Photos Data: If you connect your Google Photos account, we access your photos and videos solely to enable the Reel Recreator feature. We do not store your Google Photos content on our servers beyond the active editing session.
  • Instagram & Facebook Data: If you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page, we receive the data described in Section 3.

3. Instagram & Facebook Data

When you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page through Meta's official login, you choose which permissions to grant. We then access and store:

  • Account details: account or Page ID, username, name, profile picture, and the access token Meta issues to us.
  • Posts and comments: your posts and reels, the comments on them, and the commenter's username and ID, so you can view and reply to them.
  • Messages you send: public replies and private replies (Instagram DMs or Messenger messages) sent from CueEditio, plus a log of what was sent, to whom, and when.
  • Auto DM rules: the keywords and messages you set up, and the conversations they start.
  • Scheduled posts: reels you schedule, with their captions and publish times.

We use this data only to provide the features you turn on. We never use it for advertising or sell it, and we never use it to train AI models. We only send a message when you trigger it or when one of your own Auto DM rules matches. We also enforce Meta's limits (one private reply per comment, the 7-day reply window, and hourly rate caps). Our use of data from Meta follows the Meta Platform Terms.

4. Using CueEditio from ChatGPT and Other AI Assistants

You can connect CueEditio to ChatGPT or another AI assistant through our MCP server. You sign in with your CueEditio account and approve the connection (OAuth). The assistant can then ask for the actions listed above on your behalf, such as listing comments, replying, sending a private reply, scheduling a reel, or managing Auto DM rules. Every action that writes something is shown to you for confirmation before it runs. We send the assistant only the data needed to answer your request. The assistant's provider (for example, OpenAI) processes your conversation under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect the assistant at any time, which revokes its access.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the CueEditio platform.
  • To process your video edits and AI-assisted editing requests.
  • To generate subtitles and transcriptions of your media.
  • To show your Instagram and Facebook comments, send the replies and DMs you request, run your Auto DM rules, and publish your scheduled reels.
  • To communicate with you about your account or service updates.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing), subject to confidentiality obligations. Replies, DMs, and scheduled posts are sent to Meta (Instagram and Facebook) because that is how they get delivered. When you use CueEditio from an AI assistant, the results of your requests are returned to that assistant. We may also disclose information if required by law.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Media files uploaded for editing are stored temporarily and deleted after your editing session ends or after a reasonable period of inactivity. Instagram and Facebook data is kept while the account or Page stays connected. Disconnecting it, or removing CueEditio in your Instagram or Facebook settings (Apps and Websites), deletes the connection, its access token, Auto DM rules, and message logs. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.

To delete your Instagram or Facebook data, remove CueEditio under Apps and Websites in your Instagram or Facebook settings, or follow the steps on our data deletion page. You can also email support@cueedit.io. To revoke an AI assistant's access, disconnect CueEditio in that assistant's settings.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
