Reply to Instagram comments with Claude Code

Auto-reply tools post the same line under every comment. Claude Code can read each comment and write a reply that answers it. CueEditio lists only the comments you have not replied to yet, so a second run never double-replies.

How it works

  1. 1.Connect once

    Add the CueEditio MCP to Claude Code and connect Instagram.

  2. 2.Say which posts and what tone

    "My last 3 reels, short and friendly, answer questions properly."

  3. 3.Review the drafts

    Claude Code shows the replies before posting. Edit any, or say go.

  4. 4.Re-run any time

    Already-answered comments are skipped, so a daily run only touches new ones.

Claude Code asks for permission before each MCP write. For unattended runs, claude -p with --allowedTools limits it to the CueEditio tools you name, so a cron job can reply to comments without touching anything else.

Limits to know

  • Public replies are capped at 600 per hour per account.
  • Replying needs CueEditio Pro ($6 or ₹459 a month). Listing comments is free.
  • CueEditio replies to top-level comments on your own posts. It cannot comment on other people’s posts.

Questions

No. list_comments marks comments you already replied to (replied_by_me), and Claude Code asks for unhandled comments only.

Yes. Public replies have no age limit, so you can clear a backlog on reels from months ago. Only DMs are limited to comments from the last 7 days.

Give Claude Code two or three of your real replies as examples, or keep a short style note in its instructions. It drafts every reply and shows them to you before posting.

No. The CueEditio MCP can read and reply. It has no tool to hide or delete comments.

Yes. Use claude -p in a cron job or CI step with --allowedTools set to the CueEditio tools you want. Set it up once in an interactive session; later runs reuse the saved sign-in.
